SLATED WINGS

The Raven's Nest

I thought she came back but She has never left

Since December she was invisible to all while the men drove by and strolled.  Occulted, veiled, she never stopped analyzing all the different faces and classifying friends and foes. She disclosed herself a month ago as I was invited back to Malabar. I am back because of one man’s wider shoulder and heart to take the blow of my presence. He defied the others all of them.

Few days after I arrived she came and called me but still refuses another hand than yours.

Every day her companion tells me stories while her silence morphs them into legends. Close but unattainable, calm composed on the closest branch behind the workshop, she spends more time there each day. She doesn’t take from my hands anymore. The link was broken and it will take a while to weave it back, if it ever…

3 REASONS WHY CAMBODIA SHOULD BE IN YOUR BUCKET LIST

Travel Destinations By 7:AM

I would say, at least once in your life, you should grab your bag and pack for Cambodia. I can’t think of any reason why thisbeautiful country (on its own merits) wouldn’t deserve an entry to your bucket list.

From the time i watched Tomb Raider back in 2001 (ikr, i’m so mean and shallow,) but seriusly this place has immediatelyearned a spot on mine so i went there last year and here’s my 3 reasons why Cambodia should also be in yours as well.

1.) TIME-WARP

If you are to ask me how to describe Cambodia in a word, i would’ve given you that answer almost immediately as that was my first impression which led to be true enough as i enjoyed my 4 days visit. But what is Time-Warp?

“It’s an illusion in which time appears to stand still.”

And that’s exactly what it felt like.

It’s probably…

The Truth about Bloating in Recovery

BeautyBeyondBones

Alright, truth time.

There’s an elephant in the room, and it has to do with refeeding in recovery. And that, my friends, is bloating.

images-5

This is an uncomfortable topic to talk about, because it has to do with body image. During recovery, we’re working on accepting our new body and learning to love it. We’re overcoming body dysmorphia, and #realtalk: we’re working on weight restoration.

Frankly, bloating makes progress in those departments rather difficult.

My biggest fear during weight restoration was that I was going to wake up one morning and just be massive. I was afraid that my body would just balloon out of control. There was so much anxiety about that allusive “weight range.”  I journaled about it a lot:

I am nervous and weary of how my body will be at the end of my stay [at inpatient]. I am scared that if it changes to a point beyond…

Weekly Photos – Looking Inside

petersouthlandphotography

Continuing with more photos from our hot air balloon festival excursion.

As I mentioned in my previous post, everyone at the festival was super nice.  While I was taking pictures of the balloons, one of the crew from Liberty Flights beckoned me over and held some of the cords out of the way so I could get a shot below.  It shows the balloon from inside while it was still being filled up.

The law of Universe

Words dipped in Happiness

What will you do, if the thing which once you wished for, is with you? Thinking? Wait. I’ll tell. You will wish for the next important thing on your wish-list. By being engrossed in that wish list, you forget to hold the thing which you once wished the most, and the universe helped you in achieve it.
Why you lose a thing which is given to you by universe, by seeing your desire for that particular thing at that time? Desires are temporary?
Why is it like that? Ever thought? What if Paulo Coelho, one of the all-time favorite authors said this,

“When you really want something the whole universe conspires in helping you achieve it”.

But what happens once the people achieve that thing? They never care about it after. They never think of holding that thing forever. That’s why our wish-list is big. We want things, but once…
