LORD I Believe In You

LORD I BELIEVE IN YOU

Open Link Above – Song By Crystal Lewis

You Are There

My eyes can’t see you

But I can

We are never far apart

For you live within my heart

Today

And every day

No day is the same

Yet you never change

You are the same

Yesterday

Today

And forever

The lion roars and seeks to devour

But you came to give life and live within

Until the end

Thank you

For loving me

For never giving up even when I do

No one can take my joy away

Thank you

For you live within my heart

And you LORD will forever stay

10 day East Coast Road Trip: New York to Miami

Traveldefined

New York to Miani (1)

Road Trip is like a blank canvas where you can put in any color you want. It brings in – the comfort of driving around one’s own vehicle, the freedom to decide the route & hassle-free detours, the flexibility to stop on the way at any time and the power of changing the destination at the last minute.

Our epic 10-day winter road trip – all the way from New York to Miami was one of those spontaneous trips. We decided to embark on this East Coast journey during the Christmas vacations. Packed our bags in less than two hours, loaded the car and we left home around six in the evening (just five hours after we came up with the idea).

We opened the map in the car and placed a few pins and the first one was on Richmond. By late night, we were driving by Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington…

Life is Life New Book

Tony A. Smith

Life is Life

I have not been able to blog as often as I would like to lately because I have been busy trying to put together a new book I am working on entitled – “Life is Life“.  Life is in constant pursuit of us, never the same from one day to the next. This is an inspirational collection of stories and poems that will lift you up and encourage you on your ever shifting journey.  They will inspire you and strengthen you as you read of some of the hard times as well as the good times in life.

Your faith will be bolstered as you read of these stories of divine intervention, letters from heaven, and answered prayers.  Life propels us forward from the day we are born and every day we have an opportunity in the midst of chaos to grasp on to hope and hold on…

Poll Time Again

amateur airplanes

It’s been about nine months or so since my last poll to choose my fiftieth build of 2014. This poll is basically the same principle with more kits to select from. My next set of builds will be scaled back to four with three of them to be chosen by you guys. The lone “executive” pick will be Hasegawa’s 1/72 B-24J Liberator. It’s about time I pay attention to the heavy bombers of WWII.

So the poll will go as it normally would. Choose three kits that you would like to see built and I will take the top three. There is no set time limit as of now. When I am getting close to closing out my current builds, I will close the poll and present the winners. A preemptive thank you goes out to all the voters. Happy voting!

Advice of the Day – Encouragement Goes A Long Way

MidiMike

Encouragement – the action of giving someone support, confidence, or hope.

This also applies to writers, artists, poets, performers, photographers and so on… Let’s build each other up instead of competing with one another. Once you’ve reached the next level, reach down and lend a hand to everyone still striving to get where you are. Be thankful to each and every person who encourages you and GO OUT OF YOUR WAY to support and encourage others.

The Purpose of Writing

The Politics of Writing

The purpose of writing has always been for the writer to convey a message to the reader, but I think this escapes many writers today. The majority of writing is not focused on what it says rather how it says it. Many political writers will spice up their writing with sophisticated language and complex terminology to attract the higher educated crowd.

The most obvious problem with this is that you’d be ignoring the main audience of the piece, which happens to be the largest demographic. If the average person reads a piece with a needlessly large and obscure vocabulary then he may conclude that the writing serves no purpose for him, then he will shy away from all writing like it. If you write for the every day person not only will you have a larger audience, what you write will be more effective.

Orwell said it better than I…
