All There Is

DoubleU = W

love has yet to come here and stay

but to keep loving is all there is

success hides itself from me

but to keep working is all there is

happiness is mysterious and elusive

but to keep smiling is all there is

life’s lessons are constantly hidden

but to keep learning is all there is

Engineering Happiness in Brazil: WordCamp Rio de Janeiro and beyond

WordPress.com News

Karen Arnold and Erica Varlese work on the Happiness Hiring team at Automattic, where they hire new Happiness Engineers who support users on WordPress.com and Automattic products. They met with the Brazilian WordPress community last week and wanted to share their experiences.

At Automattic, the company behind WordPress.com, we’re working on localizing our support to those who speak Brazilian Portuguese. Since both of us are part of our Happiness Hiring team, which focuses on hiring new support engineers, or “Happiness Engineers,” we decided to travel to the WordPress community in Brazil to share our new Happiness Engineer (BR-PT) role and talk about our experience with support.

If the answer is ‘yes’ to one, or all of the above, you are not alone. This post is about a reaction that is uncommonly common during flights called Aerosinusitis. Unfortunately, it can happen to any of us when flying.. even yourself.

What is Aerosinusitis?

Image source: Wikipedia Image source: Wikipedia

Diane A. Safer, PhD of the NYU Langone Medical Center defines Aerosinusitis (also known as Barotrauma) as a “pain or discomfort that is felt with a difference in air or water pressure between the outside environment and the inside of the body.” Meaning, any part of the body where air passes through (ie: nose, ears, lungs) can be affected.
