Statistics are like a bikini…

Aloada Bobbins

Hi all, for today’s Fadtastic Friday, we will be talking facts and figures!

No, wait! It’s not that bad…hopefully. You see, I’ve found a new mini-fad playing around with making infographics, brought on by;

a) Being a regular blogger for a whole 3 months!
b) Passing my 100 WordPress follower and 500 likes mark. Woohoo! 🙂

I actually reached each of these milestones last weekend, which is when I made the graphic to celebrate (any normal person would have just opened a bottle of wine I’m sure…)

So really, this post is just a massive thank you to everyone who has encouraged me to keep going, via views, likes, comments or follows and not let it be ‘just another fad’! It really has meant a lot. 🙂 Plus, a big word of appreciation to Jason, the Opinionated Man, who I’m very honoured to welcome as ‘technically’ my 100th follower…

The day a space hopper came for my legs

Aloada Bobbins

I’m no longer 8 years old, indeed I haven’t been for quite sometime. By now my brain should be fully informed not to entertain such ridiculous, non-age appropriate notions. But no – my level of faddiness is equally matched to my competitiveness, resulting in my internal monologue shouting “Bring it on!” at any whiff of a victory dance!

One such scenario happened last Wednesday, when the weather was unusually dry for once on our annual school sports’ day. A range of activity stations had been set up, from the traditional sack races and obstacle courses to the more comical welly wanging and bum-shuffling. Something that all the children could enjoy, whether they were star athletes or less able in a sports arena.

And then there were space hoppers…

Morality without Religion is an illusion

Morality without Religion is an Illusion

“Let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion. Reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle.” ~ George Washington

One of the most favorite deceptions that today’s “liberals” try to put themselves and others into is that Morality is a subjective phenomenon and should be defined according to the personal choices and preferences of the individuals. According to them, it is the individual who holds the right to define what is good or bad for him/her. However, what they seem to ignore intentionally or unintentionally is the fact that human beings are selfish by nature, and tend to put their own welfare above the welfare of others, often forgetting that what is good for them may have undesired consequences for others or even for themselves…

How are Logistics Mobile Apps Transforming the Industry?

Apollo Distribution Cardiff

In the ancestry of the logistics mobile app, sits the mobile warehouse device. The predecessor of the smartphone app, a ruggedised mobile device, facilitates a productive workforce whereby nobody is tethered to a specific area. These ergonomic machines enable heightened accuracy and efficiency, linking wirelessly to computers and printers.

With the birth of smartphone technology came the natural sequel to this device in the guise of the supply chain app. No longer just for warehouse use, apps can be integrated into every stage of the supply chain, from drivers to consumers.

It is this multi-functionality, a communication platform not only between members of an organisation but also between a business and customer, which has attracted companies to recruit app software developers.

Notoriously, the logistics industry has been considered relatively slow when adapting to digitalisation. However, with plenty of Millennials now employed in the industry, perception is changing with regards to new technologies.
