Smile Care Club: #1 Set of Aligners

This may be the last update for awhile guys.

Yesterday I received my first 10 sets of aligners. I had the starter set in and switched to my first aligner. I will switch these out every 3 weeks until I am on the 10th one. After that we will do another photo assessment to make sure everything is moving correctly before they ship my final 10.

Having the new set in now hurts a little bit. It feels more snug and does more of a snap on thing since theyre new. Over the next couple of days they will get more comfortable and a tad looser.

Anyways, I will probably wait to update until I see a noticeable change or finish these 10. Stay tuned!

Bryce Canyon National Park- the home of the Hoodoos

If you visit Utah National Parks, Bryce Canyon should not be missed. It is (surprisingly) not as popular as Zion and Moab. It is not, technically, a canyon, but rather a giant natural amphitheater created by erosion, yet there is no other place in the world that features as fine and abundant collection of hoodoos as Bryce. The park is family and wheelchair friendly, and has an ample parking. There are drinking water fountains around the parking lots, and all the necessary facilities. You can hike a whole day or only an hour, you can just walk along the rim, or just stand and look around – you will still enjoy yourself.

However, you should know that it is a high altitude location (above 8000 ft – up to 9000 ft). The trails vary from easy to moderate and strenuous; the descents and ascents are very steep though, and it could be very hot…

Today I FINALLY received my Starter Trays!

Anyways, above is the tray itself. A sort of thin very hard plastic. The first picture also shows the syringe of clinical strength whitening gel they sent free with my order. I just shoot it into my trays and carry on badadong!

Any who. I also have these little yellow “Chewies” which I am currently chewing. I LOVE them. Dude you kinda feel like you’re teething all over again and they did NOT have these when I was growing up with metal braces. They help relieve the tooth achiness and help your aligners clip to your teeth more securely. I highly recommend using them.

One of the most exhilarating moments a Power Plant Man may experience is when, while wearing a pair of high voltage gloves, they crank the handle of a High Voltage Switch closed in a substation.  The booming sound of the electricity crackling overhead and the echoing off of the hills and trees a mile away comes rumbling back!  I never could understand why the training required to be a certified substation switchman had to be the most boring class a Power Plant Man had to sit through.

When we were in Texas a few weeks ago, we had the chance to visit all five of the old Spanish missions in San Antonio. Truth to be told, I had been expecting to spend less than 2 hours in total. I expected only to take pictures to show proof that I have been there. Remarkably, however, we spent almost a whole day visiting them one by one.
