Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (2012)

THE SUBLIMINAL HERALD

After the former Director suffered the “penance stare”, I believe a specific number of people will need to be “exorcised” literally…let’s hope Marvel lifts the curse once and for all!

Ghost Rider - Spirit of Vengeance

Hyde Park Entertainment, Imagenation Abu Dhabi, Crystal Sky Pictures and Marvel Studios present…

There are reasons why people run away, some to forget the past, from the sins they committed, others to have a better life! But for Johnny, he left his town, his life and his only love in order to save himself from damnation…which he carries up to now!

From the Directors of “Crank” and “Gamer” comes a film like no other (at least in their own minds)! Neveldine/Taylor are both American Film Makers known for their camera’s on roller blades, capturing shots at high speeds and in low angles, maybe they have this patented already! Still nobody will care!

It actually gives credence to the premise of…

AngPow (Blessed Red Packet)

The Inspiration Shots

iPhoneOgraphy – 09 Feb 2016 (Day 40/366)

In Chinese and other Asian societies, a red envelope, red packet, lai see or hongbao is a monetary gift which is given during holidays or special occasions such as weddings, graduation or the birth of a baby. Outside of China, similar customs exist across parts of South East Asia and many other countries with a sizable ethnic Chinese population.

In China, during the Qin Dynasty, the elderly would thread coins with a red string. The money was referred to as “money warding off evil spirits” (Chinese: 壓歲錢; pinyin: yāsuì qián) and was believed to protect the person of younger generation from sickness and death. The yasui qianwas replaced by red envelopes when printing presses became more common and is now found written using the homophone for suì that means “old age” instead of “evil spirits” thus, “money warding off old age” (Chinese: 壓歲錢…

Monkey Say Monkey Do!

Through Open Lens

Snow monkey

Happy Chinese New Year!!  The Year Of The MONKEY.

F/5.6, 1/200, ISO 800.

Snow Monkey

A policeman in the big city stops a man in a car with a monkey in the front seat.
“What are you doing with that monkey?” He exclaimed, “You should take it to the zoo.”
The following week, the same policeman sees the same man with the monkey again in the front seat, with both of them wearing sunglasses. The policeman pulls him over.
“I thought you were going to take that monkey to the zoo!”
The man replied, “I did. We had such a good time we are going to the beach this weekend!”

Interesting Fact: Snow monkeys are known as the one of the cleverest species of monkeys. They learn easily and share new skills and hunting (or eating) techniques with other members of the troop and with their offspring.  ( http://www.softschools.com/facts/animals/snow_monkey_facts/106/ )

Ten islands’ tale

Perspectives on Life, the Universe and Everything

illuminating, bright
moonlight blight
this is the story
of ten islands of light
with inner cores,
full of fossil wax
exploited, abused,
rules were lax
once it was known
final reserves blown
time to reap
the black seed sown
life was endearing
situation worrying
denizens full of fear
seeing their end near
sages dreamed
best it seemed
was to enjoy
what wax remains,
populous agreed
to this idea insane,
don’t think of morrow
drown your sorrows
eat every tiny
little bit of pie,
light up the earth,
flare up the sky
wait for ultimate
known capitulation
the end as foreseen,
total annihilation
one island disagrees
saved its energy
see others evaporate
lives ruin, decimate
from this sorry tale,
thousand miles gale
hurricane burn
lessons to learn
live in moderation
with little bit of fun
but don’t lit all candles to
compete with the sun
conservation, sustainable
energy we need
sunlight…

Day 1134: There are two kinds of people in this world

The Year(s) of Living Non-Judgmentally

There are two kinds of people in this world: those who agree with the following statement and those who don’t.

IMG_9095

Do you agree that there are two kinds of people in this world?  If so, how would you divide up the people in this world into two groups?

There are two kinds of people in this world:

  1. Those who can guess the inside of the  above greeting card and
  2. Those who can’t.

No matter what group you’re in,  here it is:

There are two kinds of people in this world: those who’ve read my daily blog before  and those who haven’t.  If you’re in the first group, you’ve probably learned that I figure out some way to include the photos I’ve taken the day before.

I hope you’re in the group of people that like these photos:

There are two kinds of readers in this world: (1) those who comment…

Along With Shipping Report We Have The Jobs Reports

The Arts Mechanical

Recently the Administration has gone around touting the 4.9% U3 unemployment number as indicating that the economy is in good shape.

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/02/06/business/economy/jobs-report-unemployment-january-fed-interest-rates.html?_r=0

Paul Craig Roberts asks if the reports are all propaganda.

http://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2016/02/06/are-the-payroll-jobs-reports-merely-propaganda-statements-paul-craig-roberts/

We can look and see. Is there anything missing in the “good news?”

Well there are a few things that the Adminstration and it’s friends have neglected to mention:

The labor participation rate has conveniently continued to crash since the administration took over enabling the unemployment rate to be lower than reality!

This administration and the economy has been the recipient of 0% rates since becoming President…the recipient of $4 trillion-plus of printed money here and depending on the abacus you are using, $15-20 trillion of printed money around the globe…leading to a responding market to all the printed money creating a faux wealth effect that now goes into reverse. Very simply, the easiest monetary policy in the history of time!
