Swedish Fall nature

Annas Art - FärgaregårdsAnna

Swedish Fall nature is a colorful show. Just look at this.

Calluna, Scots pine, Quercus robor (oak), Sorbus aucuparia (Rowan), Juniperus communis

I like Fall, but I don’t like that Summer is almost over. It’s getting darker in the mornings and evenings here again. I like sunny mornings and evenings better that dark ones 🙂

Not all of you have this kind of light/dark changes or season changes. I like all our seasons in different ways, but I always think summer and fall goes to fast.

Paint on old CD

Annas Art - FärgaregårdsAnna

I saw Buddha9s post:

https://juststuffifoundontheinternet.wordpress.com/2016/03/21/beautiful-isnt-it/
and thought that was a great idea to try in my own way.

This is the result so far.

The first one is Solberga i Vagnhärad (där jag kommer att ställa ut i juli månad/exhibiton place for my art in July)

Solberga is Swedish and means sunny hill. Vagnhärad is the nearest city to Trosa.

The second one is Långhagen i Vagnhärad (där föddes min gammelmormor/my great grandmother was born there long time ago)

Långhagen is Swedish for Long field.

The third one is Alby bro och Björkhem i Vagnhärad (där delar av min släkt bodde under 1900-talet/part of my family lived in those places in the 1900 century).

För er som känner till Hedebyborna så minns ni kanske lanthandlarn och hans son. I verkligheten var det Alby handel, som släktingar till mig drev 🙂

Check out Thumbups post and start paint on old CD…

Early mornings

The Journey of My Left Foot (whilst remembering my son)

Monday 29th August

You always liked to wake up early, have breakfast, then go outside in the fresh air.

In 2011 on this day, we were holidaying on Hilton Head Island, and you loved going down to the swimming pool before anyone else.

Wandering around, sitting on the sunloungers, or dipping your toes in the water.

You didn’t like crowds, so exploring whilst most of the guests were waking up suited you just fine.

Wandering around the empty pool

A quiet moment to dip toes in the water

Just outside the hotel grounds were a set of fountains that young children played in, trying to dodge the plumes of water.

If no one was around, you liked doing that as well, mostly keeping yourself dry, but occasionally laughing when you got drenched.

Fun by the fountains

Early mornings, quiet and peaceful

No worries, no noise, few people.

Sunrise brightens with…

I know you’re safe and sound

The Journey of My Left Foot (whilst remembering my son)

Sunday 28th August

My darling Angel son

Been thinking of you today

Always on my mind

And forever in my heart.

The memories will never fade

Such a big personality

Full of fun and mischief

Always keeping us on our toes.

So, nighty night sweetheart

Lay your head upon the clouds

Way up there in heaven

I know you’re safe and sound.

Love you forever

xxxxxx

Grey and misty today

Beneath, Below, I Go.

Myths of the Mirror

Mermaid (title unknown) by Victor Nizovtsev Mermaid (title unknown) by Victor Nizovtsev (Link to Source)

If you haven’t stumbled across Richard Ankers’ blog, you are missing something special. I’m having a crazy week, so what better time to share a piece of stunning writing. I’ve closed comments, so please let Richard know what you think.

And, if you like his style of writing, you might check out his book, The Eternals. I’ll vouch for some beautiful writing. Enjoy his story:

Beneath, Below, I Go

The sea rose in tumultuous swells rocking my small boat like a hammock in a hurricane. With each undulation I would rise up to God, stretch out my hands in prayer, only to be dragged away. The sky had never seemed so near yet so far.

I’d grown long past the point of uneasiness, my stomach having vacated it’s contents the previous evening. All that remained was my soul…
