So this weekend we had a family gathering at Lake Shasta in Northern California.  We stayed at the Salt Creek Resort which has been a family favorite for many years.  Of course one of the main attractions for me was getting to watch trains cross the trestle at all times of the day (and night).   This former Southern Pacific line now run by Union Pacific.
