How to De-Stress in 10 easy steps

Have you had a bad day/week at work? Kids are driving you mad? Unpaid bills are piling up?
It’s never easy being stressed and it certainly isn’t easy trying to DE-stress when you have no idea how. So I’m going to give you my 10 easy steps on how to DE-stress. These steps help me, so hopefully, they will help you!

Step 1: Get out your journal and write down everything that’s stressing you out.
I know you’ve probably been told numerous of times that writing down everything that’s on your mind helps, and I 100% agree with that. I started writing in a journal when I was 17 years old. It helped me relax my mind when things got hard at school and to this day, I still write everything down when I’m on the verge of a breakdown, or better yet, a murderous spree (You can’t deny that…

Perspectives on Life, the Universe and Everything

start writing
anything,
anything at all,
love, life, lies,
what and whys,
how and where,
what transpires,
people conspire,
to take dreams away,
elders sway,
your opinions,
rulers, their minions,
devil dominions,
worlds unknown,
God seen and known,
wisdom on loan,
human with a bone,
and dog as his master,
pains and laughter,
ideas, games,
respect or shame,
intelligent, lame
a shot on fame
someone to blame
perhaps the same
new meaning, old words,
mythical birds
animals in herds
geeky nerds
creative types
time is ripe
pick up the pen
write again
it will be fun
like morning sun

The Nightmare Before Christmas

Barataria - The work of Erik Hare

It’s the spooky season, but it’s also the fun season. Before Winter wraps its embrace around us there is Halloween, the last chance to have some fun. It’s a challenge to the eerie creep of darkness we’re still adjusting to, still resisting at least one last time.

No movie captures the season for me quite like “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” the epic Tim Burton classic of stop-motion animation from the old school. Released in 1993, it was immediately recognized as a great classic movie for the holidays – Halloween, for the fun of it, and Christmas for the cynically twisted reaction to what it has become.

What makes this movie, however, isn’t just the great story and animation. The score by Danny Elfman is pure genius – and belongs in the repertoire of classical greats.

My Diary: My Heart Is A Tolling Bell Within A Crab’s Carapace

Gerald's Rather Strange Diary

I got up as a weather forecast and met June as the early morning news.‭ ‬I went out into the garden with a mouthful of rock and spat out a flower bed.‭ ‬I had to prepare the garden for the arrival of a sea monster‭ ‬-‭ ‬making sure that the speaking trees were ready for a storm of words and random numbers.‭ ‬June was busy indoors making cakes for King Alfred to burn.‭ ‬After all the people I had ever wanted to be had walked to the end of the pier and looked down I came in like a high tide.‭ ‬By then June had curled up into a monosyllabic word‭ (‬although a polysyllabic dinner was talking to itself in the oven‭)‬.‭ ‬I decided to wear a transistor radio instead of clothes‭ ‬-‭ ‬only to be told off for continually changing channels.‭ ‬I later thought a long number had entered…

Our King is Coming ~

CHRISTian poetry ~ by deborah ann

our-king-is-coming-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann

Our King is coming,
soon Jesus will reign
He’ll wipe every tear
and heal all the pain.

Our King is coming,
the day is so near
His peace will bring
the end to all fear.

Our King is coming,
soon it will be
when pain no longer
will our eyes see.

Our King is coming,
no more death or dying
no more sounds of sobs
from broken heart’s crying.

Our King is coming,
all things will be new
oh, what joy there will be
for me and for you!

~~~~~~
Revelation 21:4
“And God shall wipe away
all tears from their eyes;
and there shall be no more death,
neither sorrow, nor crying,
neither shall there be
any more pain:
for the former things
are passed away.”
Flash Movie Review: Reality
moviejoltz
THERE was a time where the boundaries between reality and fantasy had more distance between each other. Most of my life I wanted to stay in the realm of fantasy but understood it would only be a short visit for some respite. Things have changed now where the barrier has taken on a porous consistency between true and false, fantasy and reality. The biggest culprit I feel that started all of this is reality television shows. Sure when the few first ones aired they were a novelty; but come on now, how authentic are they really? We live in a world where people are getting famous for doing absolutely nothing. No seriously, some of these reality celebrities have huge followings and what I find upsetting is the effect they have on young people.    GIRLS and boys watch these self-centered, snobby; better than you attitude individuals who are gaining wealth…
