One, two, three
And on the fourth,
I linger, knowing,
Somehow, sometime -
I’ll feel a heartbeat,
Beat, in time with mine.
A hand that once trembled,
And shook, violently
Falls steady to the rhythm,
Felt through the Vena Amoris.
Men of science dispel the myth,
I still hold to be true.
