Tweed Heads – New South Wales

The Inspiration Shots

Week 26/52

Tweed Heads is a town located on the Tweed River in north-eastern New South Wales, Australia, in Tweed Shire. Tweed Heads is located next to the border with Queensland, adjacent to the “Twin Town” of Coolangatta, a suburb of the Gold Coast. It is often referred to as a town where you can change time zones – even celebrate New Year twice within an hour – simply by crossing the street, due to its proximity to the Queensland border, and the fact that New South Wales observes daylight saving whereas Queensland does not.

In 1823 John Oxley was the first European to see the Tweed Valley, and he wrote of it: “A deep rich valley clothed with magnificent trees, the beautiful uniformity of which was only interrupted by the turns and windings of the river, which here and there appeared like small lakes. Loin du bling bling qu’on lui connait, Saint-Tropez est aussi un village.
Un village qui accueille un marché de produits de la mer, à quelques mètres du port, et des stands de fruits et légumes, au détour d’une rue.

Take me back to New York

Face Camera Action

I thought today I would share some more photos from my time in New York with you all as I loved it so much!

Walking into Times Square was just breath taking and I honestly think that the whole week I was there I was living the dream! I was in absolute awe of everything I saw! It’s on such a bigger scale to anything else I have experienced! I’m a city lover. Take me to any city in the world and I will be in my element so I must admit I now dream about New York and want to live there!

Berlin’s Zombie Hospital

Trekking Tracy

Last Sunday I went exploring in an old, abandoned children’s hospital known as, Zombie Hospital. Its original name was Kinderkrankenhaus Weißensee. It was built-in 1909 and forever closed on January 1, 1997.

It’s been just about a year since I went to my first abandoned building (Check : The Abandoned, Discovered) I’m not sure what it is about freezing cold weather that makes me feel like going out and exploring abandoned places.

This photo set couldn’t have come at a better time, one of my favorite shows, The Walking Dead will be starting again this Sunday!
