a view along the St. Lawrence River

We all appreciate the beauty to be found in nature.  Yet, we all know that nature has a downside or a negative aspect.  Nature may not seem so beautiful to us when she shows her destructive power in earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods and droughts.

We share here a few images along the St. Lawrence River in eastern Canada taken on 25 October 2017.

These next 3 pics are of the same area along the river bank.  These were taken in succession with some zooming of the lens as the cruise ship continued moving up river.  A ribbon or stream of low lying fog or cloud makes these images interesting.

The next shot.

The third view of this series.

In our last photo, we see that the cruise ship has docked in Quebec on a cloudy autumn afternoon.  If one looks carefully, there appear to be freight cars of a train in the picture.
